What will you leave behind when you are gone? A friend of mine had this image on their facebook page. I saw it and just fell in love. I quickly copied it to my desktop, knowing one day I would use it for something. You see I have a conference, a seminar that talks about our "legacy"...what we are going to leave behind. As we walk on this earth, what do we want people to see, to hear, and to notice? What do we want them to remember? In some cases our legacy is like a footprint in the sand, only one wave is needed to wash any proof of our existence. So I thought to myself, am I here on this earth to build things in my name or Christ? Do I want people to remember Kris as the person who built this huge singles ministry or greeting ministry? Or the person who was funny and spoke well? What do I want people to remember? This world pushes you to be remembered by our works, our titles and what we did not to mention money and fame. But I ask, who are you? If everything you owned was lost, burned up, washed away including websites, books, and any other physical memory of your existence, what would be left? I am praying my legacy is my own changed life because of Christ and the changed lives of others due to work Christ did through me. Not by my power but by His. A changed life due to salvation. A changed life due to my relationship with Christ. So again, if everything physical on this earth was gone that showed you existed, would there be anything else? Ephesians 3:7 I became a servant of this gospel by the gift of God's grace given me through the working of his power.
