Delay, Delay, DelayEveryone in life deals with delays. Maybe it's in line at Walmart, waiting for food at a restaurant, on hold with your phone company, or being in traffic. And most everyone would agree that these delays are expected. But what happens when the delays are not expected? What happens when they don't make any sense? Listen as Kris shares a recent delay while on a mission trip in Albania and what God showed her through this delay. Watch More Videos
Belonging by Single Parent Leader, Holly CrainThe divorce and the absence of children every other weekend was nearly too much to bear. Something had to change. I couldn't comprehend how to make my way through all the pain and confusion. I found myself on the floor crying to the Lord that morning, "Please take it all…the confusion, the mistakes, the pain." So much tension was happening in my heart that I finally laid it all out to the Lord. Was I able to endure this? Could I trust God with my whole heart? Read More
Looking for a Great Leader? by Kris SwiatochoOften, I hear from single ministry directors how they struggle to find great leaders. Sure, they have folks who show up to help set up or stay to clean up and are willing to bring a dish of food or chip in a couple of bucks for something, but they are not true leaders. Read More

Youth Reloaded: Reaching Young Adults for Christ by Pastor Thomas ObongIt was a great joy in my heart to be one of the speakers at the "Youth Reloaded" conference this past September. The event was focused on young and single adults aged 13 and up from various churches in our city of Lira, Uganda. The event's theme was celebrating and worshiping Jesus, our Savior, sharing testimonials/experiences, and hearing from speakers. Read More

How Do I Please My Parents and Stay True to Myself? by Kris SwiatochoQUESTION: I'm 28, and for two years, I have been dating an older guy who is 45. We love each other very much and would like to get married soon. He's divorced with two children. He's a very good father to his kids, and I know he'll make a good husband. We are both Christians. I'm Nigerian but have lived in the States since I was 17. My parents still live in Nigeria. The problem is they want me to end the relationship with him because of our age difference and because he has been divorced and has kids. My dad referred to him as "second hand" and said he would never give me into marriage to him. My parents say he will divorce me, too, and reminded me that the Bible says God hates divorce. They are worried that I'll shame them and people will talk about it. Read More
Singles Conference, Ellicott City, MDBring Kris for your next Church Fun Event!Small Group Leaders Roles by Mike MackOne of the best ways to make your small group healthier and more exciting is to share ownership with everyone through small group roles.
Sharing ownership impacts your group in the following ways: (1) more consistency of attendance and participation, (2) more involvement in the discipleship process, (3) opportunities to recognize and utilize our own spiritual gifts and talents, (4) more opportunity to be involved in what we’re passionate about, (5) development of a true team as a group as everyone uses his or her own gifts, (6) less stress on the leader to do everything, which leads to (7) less leader burnout and (8) more opportunity to develop future leaders. Read More Live@5: I am the True VineWhen Jesus told us He is the “true vine,” what does that mean to you? When He talks about staying connected to Him? That apart from Him, we can do nothing…what is telling you? Listen as Kris Swiatocho shares while she is on tour in Europe. John 15:5 I am the vine, you are the branches; the one who remains in Me, and I in him bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing.
Speaker/Resource of the Month: Mike Mack, Small Group ExpertFor we know him who said, “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” and again, “The Lord will judge his people.” It is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. Hebrews 10:30-31

“Jesus was a single adult and so are over 50% of the adults in the U.S. today. This is a population segment that calls for special attention and ministry, but has often gone unnoticed by the church. Kris Swiatocho has dedicated her life to reaching single adults for Christ and building them into multiplying disciples of Christ. She is a great communicator and organizer of singles ministry. I commend her to any church or group who is seeking to reach the many singles in our culture today.”
