Why a retreat for singles pastors, staff and leaders?

For many years I have been hosting the Navigate Leaders Conference. This conference has helped so many churches, pastors and leaders become equipped to lead their ministries. However, as a former singles director on staff, I understand the need for something more. I decided to develop the Navigate Retreat as a way for pastors, staff and other single leaders to relax and discuss (without a huge structure) their ministries at an affordable cost. I wanted an environment where we could exchange ideas, problem solve and be encouraged. An environment where we could discuss the future of singles ministry. An finally, an environment where we could pray for each other. So register today. We look forward to having you.

Rich is the pastor at Prayer Watch Christian Center in Kennewick, WA. Rich has a heart for singles with all kinds of backgrounds. He and his wife Shirley, are the authors of several books, including: Finding Your Soul Mate Without Losing Your Head.

Host: Pastor Dale & Peggy Shaver

•Thursday, Nov 10, arrive, check in by 4pm; 5:30pm, dinner at local restaurant on your own, Session 1: 7-10pm (Riverview room)
•Friday, 9am, breakfast at the resort (included), Session 2: 10-12:30pm, Afternoon on your own, 6pm: dinner at hotel, Session 3:at 8-11pm
•Saturday, 9am, breakfast at the resort (included), Session 4: 10am-12:30pm, dismissed

Discussion: Thursday-Friday will be more of staff/pastor emphasis while Friday-Saturday will be more of lay leader emphasis. We encourage you to come to all. There is no discount on registration for attending only part of the retreat.

Note: Once you are paid registrant, you will get the details of where to meet and the names of the restaurants (as we get closer to the date).

Cost: $50 per person for retreat fee plus your hotel/meals.
*We have organized 2 breakfast locations at the hotel (cost included in your stay at the hotel) and 1 group dinner location at the hotel (buffet). You are under no obligation to come. In the event you need to cancel within 30 days of our event, no registration fee will be refunded.

The Hood River In is situated directly on the banks of the majestic Columbia River, with over half of our guestrooms and all of our suites providing a stunning river view. We are entirely non-smoking. All of our guestrooms have queen - size beds, private baths, data port phones, voice mail, refrigerators, microwaves, coffeemakers, irons and ironing boards, hairdryers and complimentary HBO. Wireless internet is available in all of our guest rooms and our meeting rooms at no charge.

We have reserved a meeting/gathering room at the hotel. You must reserve your room by Oct 21, 2011 (it's been extended) for the rates listed above (first some, first serve). Rooms will fill up so don't delay.

Directions

The Best Western Hood River Inn's spectacular setting is also spectacularly easy to get find. We are located just off I-84 at exit 64 making us 64 miles from downtown Portland and just 55 miles from Portland International Airport. After exiting at Exit 64 take a left at the bottom of the ramp and take the first right (after the westbound off ramp) into the Inn's entry drive. For a detail map.
