As I continued to watch this creature eat, I thought to myself what was God's lesson in this. I mean, he made this creature too. Well, we know the scripture about God caring for the birds of the air; how they don't worry about food or what they wear because God cares for them. And if he cares for such creatures as these, surely he cares for us and will provide. We also know in nature that if we didn't have such birds, the dead animals on our roads would lay and rot and smell...giving way to disease and who knows what else. But what else does this vulture tell us?
God continues to remind us to look around. To see all that he has created. To look at each other. While some of us may be more beautiful on the outside than others, God loves us just the same. His purpose is the same as well. To have a relationship with Him that glorifies Him and as a result a relationship with others to bring them to Christ. God gives us all gifts/tools to fulfill this purpose. Even the vulture has been given tools to fulfill God's purpose in his life. Are you using the gifts God has given you? Start today to re-evaluate your gifts and how God is using you to day.
Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?
