I was like how? She said her exes bankruptcy allowed her to finally get out from under a financial connection with him, allowing her to build her own credit. She said her kids gave her strength each day, knowing that God chose her to be their mom. Only special parents are given special need kids. That the friend who stole money could have been much worse but due to catching it sooner than later, she would learn from it. She also decided that she needed some help in reorganizing her business. That she couldn't do it on her own so she hired a business lawyer. She stated again, she is glad that God showed her through her own weakness, his strength and direction for success.
All I could do was smile and share her joy. So often, most of us would just want to die. Life would have been too hard. We would have wanted to give up or at least eat a carton of ice cream to deal with it.
As a follower of Christ, we do go through many hardships---the enemy does his thing but also life is just life--hard. But its our perspective that makes a difference. When she shared with me this truth, I was reminded of Joseph...You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives. Genesis 15:20
What are you going through this week that may be difficult but that God is using it for good?
