So, just in case you are hearing this for the first time for the 100th...here is a reminder of some things...
1. Salt prevents decay...as we stay salty (in a relationship with Christ that is growing), we will not only NOT decaying ourselves and/or our ministry but also help others to not decay.
2. Salt promotes thirst. As we stay salty, there will always be a desire to want more of Christ in our lives. No matter where we are in life it will never be enough of God, enough of His direction, of His influence.
3. Salt permeates...it gets into things. As we stay salty, our ministry, our lives will get into others lives.
SOOOOO stay salty...spend time in the word, listen to music that edifies your spirit towards Christ, be care what you are watching on TV or movies...pray, pray, pray...you will not only grow and be salty but it will pour out onto others...
Final note from Dr. Jeremiah from St. Francis of Assisi....Do whatever it takes to share the gospel...and use words if you have to.
Matthew 5:13-14 You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men.
