This morning while at my brothers, I heard the news that Rob Bell, a very well known pastor who is most famous for his "Nooma" video's is coming out with a new book where he is teaching on points near heresy (as some described). Rob, a leader in the "emerging church" movement and what appears to me as someone who has become liberal in their thinking/beliefs has shocked the traditional and Evangelical Christians around the world. He is known for his draw of young folks who are questioning a God who would allow people to go to hell who have never heard of Jesus. That a God who loves the world would allow so much pain, etc. See this article from the NY Times to read more.
As I listened to Rob on the Good Morning America show, I simply could not understand what he was saying. His comments were vague and he even seemed to dance around his own thoughts. You know its one thing to hear of pastors who have fallen Spiritually due to sexual sin, which is so very painful but to now hear this. The enemy guys continues to prowl and devour. What better way to bring down the church, to make people doubt, to water down the word or make it pretty to fit people's over-sinful lives. Watch out yourselves , watch out for the lies of the enemy...stand strong in your faith...read the word and only give in to God.
Let's all pray together for ourselves, our ministries, our family, friends, etc. as well as Rob Bell who with a stroke of his keyboard has brought so many to Christ but now with the same keyboard will take so many to hell.
